To be recognized for quality education and research, innovation, industrial exposure in mechanical engineering with training in the field of mechanical design, manufacturing technology, industrial management and thermal sciences.

Departmental Mission

To prepare professionally competent and broadly educated mechanical engineers in an encouraging culture of consistent learning by developing experimental, analytical and research abilities, and by adopting new technologies to solve real life problems.


The ME educational components provide students with a strong technical foundation as well as access to a wide array of educational opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Our graduates are well equipped to take on leadership roles in industry, government and academia. We are a part of the College of Engineering at North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering prioritize the necessary revamping of Mechanical Engineering education, which is driven primarily by dynamics of technological advances and sustainable development and with active involvement of industry, alumni, research organizations and other stakeholders.


The program Educational Objectives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering programme are designed to produce competent engineers who are ready to contribute effectively to the advancement of Department of Mechanical Engineering causes and to accommodate the needs of the profession. The graduates shall:

  1. Analyse, design and evaluate mechanical engineering problems using the knowledge of basic mathematics, science, engineering, simulation and optimization tools.
  2. Able to solve intricate manufacturing, design, thermal science and industrial management problems for significant technological and societal development.
  3. Apply conventional and advance manufacturing concepts to all possible fields of industries and human life.
  4. Engage in lifelong learning process to adapt to changing needs for professional advancement.

Program Outcomes

The programme is targeted at developing the following competencies, skills and abilities amongst students. They shall be able to:

  1. An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and mechanical engineering in practice.
  2. An ability to identify, critically analyses, formulates and solves mechanical engineering problems.
  3. An ability to select appropriate mechanical engineering tools and techniques and use them with dexterity.
  4. An ability to design a system and process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as health, safety, security and manufacturability.
  5. An ability to function professionally with ethical response ability and to appreciate the importance of goal setting and to recognize the need for life-long learning.
  6. An ability to communicate and develop professional delivery of work.
