Departmental Mission

Our efforts are dedicated to educate students in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication with advance technology to face the growing challenges of industry and society. Equipped students with strong foundation to empower them for higher education, research and development activities.

   

The Electronics Engineering Department is since inception of the College with intake of 60 in UG programme. Department have maintained its pace with current needs of society & industry. In 2013 Department started two post Graduate Programs M.E. in Digital Electronics and M.E. in VLSI and Embedded System with intake of 24 each .AS the Institute is accredited with NAAC, the department is well structured and equipped as per NAAC and AICTE norms.Generally after every decade we found the change in society. One of the reasons behind this change is the Electronic engineering.

Ever increasing pace of development in electronics has made an Electronics Engineer a catalyst for the change of the modern society. Electronic gadgets and communication systems of present age have tremendously improved the quality of life. It has become essential to have more efficient global communication network with the latest electronic equipments. Electronic engineer play the vital role in electronics as well as process industries like chemical, fertilizers etc and also in engineering and automobile industries. Electronics engineer also have the opportunity in government sectors like Indian Railway, Navy, Air force, different Government undertaking companies, telephone exchanges, etc.

At GHRIEM we put emphasis on understanding of fundamental principles of Electronic Devices& Circuits, Microprocessors & Interfacing, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Analog and Digital Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Optical Communication and electronic instrumentation. Department has well equipped laboratories with advanced equipments & software set up to fulfill the needs of academics & research. The department has kept of updating laboratory, appropriate skill enhancement of faculty. Department of Electronics Engineering has full time dedicated well qualified and experienced faculties & technical supporting staff.

Our students are placed in various reputed organization like L & T InfoTech, Infosys, TCS, Aplab, Indian Army, BSNL, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Emerson, Reliance, Wipro, Spectrum etc.

Our emphasis is on to improve the Industry- Institute interaction. Every semester we use to visit the nearby industries. Invite the experts from industry to share the latest technology with students. Arrange the guest lecturers of renowned and experienced academicians from IIT/NIT/ Govt. Colleges etc. Department organizes regular seminars, workshops and various training program, mock interviews, Soft Skill development, etc and also provides exposure for the placement.

PROGRAM (B. Engg.) EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The Program Educational Objectives of the Electronics and Telecommunication programme are designed to produce competent engineers who are ready to contribute effectively to the advancement of Electronics and Telecommunication profession. The graduates shall:

  1. 1. Apply knowledge of basic sciences and engineering fundamentals to solve the electronics and telecommunication engineering problems.
  2. 2. Adopt a professional and ethical attitude, multidisciplinary approach, effective communication skills and team work.
  3. 3. Employ necessary techniques and tools for advanced engineering applications, software technologies, engage themselves in research and development and take up higher education.
  4. 4. Be competent Electronics and Telecommunication engineers suitable for industry and entrepreneur.

PROGRAM (B. Engg.) OUTCOMES

The Programme is targeted at developing the following competencies, skills and abilities amongst students. They shall be able to:

  1. 1. Apply knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences and engineering fundamentals to solve the electronics and telecommunication engineering problems.
  2. 2. Develop analytical thinking to identify, formulate and solve the complex analog and digital circuitry problems.
  3. 3. Design such electronic system that meets the constraints of industry, society, environment, public health and safety adhering ethical and professional responsibility.
  4. 4. Design and conduct experiments as well as analyze, interpret and synthesize the information to provide valid conclusion.
  5. 5. Utilize appropriate techniques, sources, skills and modern engineering tools of Electronics and Telecommunication engineering to meet the requirements of profession.
  6. 6. Understanding the environmental needs and provide eco-friendly electronics and telecommunication engineering solutions.
  7. 7. Work in multidisciplinary teams and emerge as a leader individually.
  8. 8. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing and make presentations.
  9. 9. Attain all round knowledge for every assigned project and utilize the same for cost effective management.
  10. 10. Adopt changing technology and implementing it throughout the life.
